An Open Source CMS in React

Almost half the web is powered by CMSs, but while they make content instantly updatable, it all comes at a cost of complex infrastructure and possible security issues. This talk introduces a CMS for static sites running directly on top of git and written in React/Redux. Covering theoretical concepts (git-as-backend and other challenges) and maybe a single-line of live-on coding, it offers a truly fresh take on the topic of content management. Brian Douglas is a Web Developer at Netlify and the host of the JAMstack Radio podcast. He focuses his day to day work on React and JavaScript development. He has built an open sourced React Native iOS app as a way to teach bootcamp students to move out of their comfort zones and mentors new developers into opening their first pull requests to popular JavaScript tools.
